Jean is 18 when she marries Walter Semingson the end of December 1938 in Montana. In the 1940 census, the family is in Crosby, ND and Jean is 19 and listed as single. Walter's obituary says nothing about her, so the marriage must have been very brief.

He will be dearly missed by his family who will always remember him as a loving, wonderful father and grandfather. Survivors include two sons; two daughters; and ten grandchildren. There was a Funeral Mass at Santa Sophia Catholic Church, with a private inurnment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, San Diego (The San Diego Union-Tribune - Sunday, February 19, 2006)

MOFFATT, Dr. GEORGE E. George Moffatt, of La Mesa, passed away February 14, 2006 at the age of 81 years. He was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada on May 19, 1924.

He was a physician in the San Diego area for 41 years. He enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and singing in the choir at his church. George was a loving husband for 55 years of his wife Jean, who passed away on May 19, 2003. He will be dearly missed by his family who will always remember him as a loving, wonderful father and grandfather.

Survivors include his son Michael Moffatt of La Mesa, CA; daughters and sons-in-law Patty and Mark Webb of El Cajon, CA and Kathleen and Bill Vivian of Vancouver, WA; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Cynthia Moffatt of So. Pasadena, CA; and by his ten grandchildren, Brittany, Kathryn, Corrie, Christopher, Ryan, Matthew, Katelyn, Caley, Cole and Cade .

There will be a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Santa Sophia Catholic Church, 9800 San Juan Street in Spring Valley. Private inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum, San Diego, California.
