MARCH 4, 1951 – MARCH 7, 2021

Age 70, passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband by her side, on March 7, 2021. Born March 4, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Christina Rooney.
Carolyn will be remembered by all for her kind heart.

Carolyn proudly worked at the Bank of Canada for 33 years and is fondly remembered by her co-workers for her friendly smile.

She will also be remembered for her commitment to volunteering with the Ottawa Police for 15 years. Through her service with the Ottawa Police, Carolyn supported countless families and children.

Carolyn also enjoyed many visits out west spending time with her family and extended family. Her truly deep love was watching her grandchildren and great grand children grow and is evident in all the photos proudly displayed in their home.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Otto, stepsons Steven (Laura), Norman (Mary); brother Kevin (Barbara); sisters Dwyla (Jacques), Rhea (Brian), Jane (Ray), Patricia (Pete); sister-in-law Della; grandchildren Megan, Tyler, Steve, Alicia; great-grandchildren Landon, Zakarie; God daughter Erin; and many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was also predeceased by her sister Sheila and brothers Vincent, Gerald and Father Lomer.

Friends and family may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home. 1411 Hunt Club Road on Thursday March 11, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
