Born ‎14 Jul 1942 Lewiston, Nez Perce County, Idaho, died ‎2 Feb 2013 Spokane, Spokane County, Washington‎, age 70 years
Jerice (Minnette) Behrens, a lifetime resident of Lewiston, was called to be with the Lord Feb. 2, 2013, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, surrounded by her loving family. She was 70 years old.

Jerice was born July 14, 1942, in Lewiston. While growing up she was a baton twirler, traveling the Northwest winning several trophies and appearing on the TV show "Starlet Stairway." In high school she spent three years as a majorette with the band and two years as a leader. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1960.

She married Bob Ruark in 1960 at Lewiston. They had two sons, Steve and Brad. They divorced in 1965. In 1967, she married Dave Behrens in Coeur d'Alene. They had one daughter, Renee.

Jerice worked at the PFI White House from 1964 to 1972, First Security Bank (Wells Fargo) from 1980 to 1986, and the LCSC Library from 1987 until her retirement in June of 2004.

She was a member of All Saints at St. Stanislaus Church, St. Mary's League, and was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital as a Pink Lady in the gift shop from 1987 until present.

Spending time with family was very important to Jerice, they were the loves of her life. She enjoyed giving big dinners and decorating for the holidays. She also liked scrap booking and watching her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and brother play sports. Her dogs, Bailey and Chloe, will miss her dearly.

Survivors include her husband, Dave, two sons Steve and his wife Carla, Brad and his wife Lorrie, her daughter Renee, brother Jim and his wife Mary Jayne; aunt Lesley, uncle Lennart, 9 grandkids, 7 great-grandkids, and three to be born later this year, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Irene Minnette.
