Marie Ellen Moss, beloved wife of the late Charles William ("Bob") Moss, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the age of 95 years, at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary.

Marie was born in Grande Prairie, AB on April 3, 1920 and has lived in several places in Alberta and British Columbia during her life. As a young woman, Marie ran her father's general store in Crooked Creek, AB for several years and then worked as a bookkeeper for Canada Packers in Edmonton.

Marie and Bob were married on August 27, 1951 and eventually moved to Calgary in 1962 where she and Bob enjoyed many happy years together. As Bob's health declined during his final years Marie was his devoted caregiver. Following Bob's passing, Marie spent the last 16 years of her life residing at the Manor Village of Huntington Hills where she made many dear friends.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Bob in December 1998, her brother Donald ("Bud") Rooney in France in 1944; her parents, Pat and Lucie Rooney, stepmother, Christina ("Tina"), sisters Dorothy (Jim) Rasmussen, Mona (Eric) Fazan, Virgie (Roy) Duffy and Bruce (Marlene) Rooney.

Marie Ellen Moss, beloved wife of the late Charles William ("Bob") Moss and loving mother to Darrell and wife Sherril, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the age of 95 years, at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary. Marie was born in Grande Prairie, AB on April 3, 1920 and has lived in several places in Alberta and British Columbia during her life. As a young woman, Marie ran her father's general store in Crooked Creek, AB for several years and then worked as a bookkeeper for Canada Packers in Edmonton. Marie is also survived by grandchildren Corey Dvorkin (Corrina Barr) of Ottawa, Tracy Leyland (David) of Calgary and Tevy Dvorkin of Calgary, as well as great- grandchildren Natassia and Petra Dvorkin of Ottawa and Kate and Jane Leyland of Calgary. Mr. Bruce Leo Rooney was born on October 20th, 1927 at Bezanson, Alberta and passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, April 27th, 2007 at the age of 79 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marlene, whom he shared his life with for 51 years; one granddaughter, Dennette Mason of Invermere, B.C.; one great-grandson, Luke Robert Mason; three sisters, Marie Moss of Calgary, Alberta, Ilene Duffy and Connie (Bill) Yochim of Kelowna, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia Mason on October 2nd, 1983; his grandson, Robert Mason on August 1st, 2002; one brother, Bud and three sisters, Dorothy Rasmussen, Mona Fazan and Virgie Duffy.

Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Bruce's Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 9th, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. Interment of Bruce's cremated remains will follow in the family plot at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A Reception for family and friends will take place in the Tea Room at Bethel Funeral Chapel at the conclusion of the Graveside Service. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Bruce to the Canadian Cancer Society, 04-3402-27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S1.
