Fontaine, M. Catherine "Katie" (Egan) Beloved grandmother, passed away peacefully at 95 years of age surrounded by loved ones October 25, 2009. Born December 13, 1913 in Bangor Township, MN, she was preceded in death by husband, Charles Karkalitz; 10 siblings and daughter, Patty Murphy.

Survived by sister, Dorothy Egan; brother, Hilary "Duke" Egan (Shirley); 6 grandchildren, Catherine Badger (Farrell), Anita Lewis (Lynn), Dawnalisa Norton (Scott), Annie Bray (Daniel), Dan Wegner (Joelle), Dan Knip (Brigitte); 35 great-grandchildren; 14 great- great-grandchildren (and 3 on-the- way) and many nieces and nephews. We express heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Good Samaritan and Saint Therese nursing homes for their years of loving care. A private family service will be held at a later date.
