Henry D. Egan came to the Padua area on the New York orphan train. He was adopted by Dennis and Mary (Rooney) Egan.

Elizabeth Kinney was born February 18, 1891, at Swanville, the daughter of Nicholus and Lucy Kinney.

Henry married Elizabeth on October 2, 1917 at Padua. They farmed in Padua until 1941. Henry and Elizabeth had two children:
Wallace - died in 1990 of a heart attack
Edmond - was shot in the stomach at basic training and died seven years later

Henry died January 16, 1936 from heart disease. In 1941 Elizabeth moved to Sauk Centre. She died on August 31, 1955 suddenly at her home.

Henry and Elizabeth are buried by Henry's parents, Dennis and Mary Egan. His sister, Lavinia Egan, is also buried in Padua.

Married ‎2 Oct 1917 Padua, Stearns County, Minnesota, age 25 years (married 18 years) to:

manHenry Dennis Egan‏, age by marriage 33 years, son of Dennis "EAGAN, EAGEN, EGEN" Egan and Mary Ann Rooney‏.
Born ‎14 Sep 1884 Stillwater, Minnesota, died ‎16 Jun 1936 Stearns County, Minnesota Event Description: St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery, Padua, Stearns, MN‎, age 51 years, buried Padua, Stearns County, Minnesota
Henry is not the son of Dennis Egan, though he's living with them Dennis and Mary Ann in 1905. The 1910 census indicates that Dennis and Mary Ann had one child who died. He is probably one of the "orphan train" adoptees, as were Mary and Eleanor.

Henry is living in North Fork Township, Stearns County with his wife and infant son in 1920. In the 1930 census they (along with a second son and a boarder) are living in Raymond Township, Stearns county. In the 1940 census, his wife is a widow.
