Obituary for Arnold R. Wolski
Arnold R. Wolski, 61, of Cheyenne died October 2, 2011 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

Arnie was born July 13, 1950 in Oriska, ND the middle child of 7 to Monica and Arnold
Wolski. He lived in ND until 1965, where he attended St. Katherine's School. When he was 14, his family moved to Longmont, CO. He was a member of Up With People Sing Out Longmont in 1967. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1968. He was an excellent skier and was on the US Ski Team until he was drafted in 1969. He served in the Army.

He married Diane Debrorski on September 23, 1972 in Boulder, CO and lived in Colorado until 1975 when they moved to Cheyenne.

Arnie was a carpenter by trade. He built many houses in Cheyenne in the 70's and 80's. He also worked for Federal Construction out of Colorado Springs. He was their superintendent for 7 years and ran all of their building projects on Warren Air Force Base. He then worked as the building maintenance man for C.B. Potts restaurant. He worked for them until his motorcycle accident in 2006, which left him in a wheel chair full time.

Arnie was an active member of Cheyenne Frontier Days. He was on the Parade Committee, during which time he received "Volunteer of the Year" in 1994. He became a Heel in 1996. He was on the Concession Committee for 2 years and Contestants committee where he was a timer on Chute 9 and a member of PRCA.

Arnie was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed to hunt and fish. He hunted both with a bow and a rifle. His favorite stories of hunting included the time he spent the night in a tree waiting for the elk and of carrying his elk out at night out of the wilderness. He was active in the Boy Scouts both as a helpful dad and a leader. He really enjoyed helping his 2 sons build the Pinewood Derby cars. His hobbies included planting trees and having a vegetable garden.

He also worked on old classic cars and rebuilding engines to these cars. He liked to ride his motorcycle on every nice day he could.

His best days after his accident in 2006 were spent with his 3 grandchildren, Logan, Katalyna and Colton. They brought his smile back to him. He was a loving husband, inspiring dad, and a "spoiling grandfather". He will be sorely missed by all of those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Monica and a sister, Mary.

He is survived by his wife, Diane of Cheyenne; sons, Josh (Monique) of Cheyenne and Jeremiah of Gillette and his 3 grandchildren; his father, Arnold Wolski, Sr. of Denver, CO; siblings, Bruce Wolski of Boulder, CO, Carol Conner of Littleton, CO, Darlene Barthel of Sundance, WY, Erling Wolski of Hygiene, CO and Gaylene Gamble of Longmont, CO.
