Patricia A. Swanzy was born January 28, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska to Raymond S. and Josephine Mazie Wren Branchflower. She married the love of her life F. Wayne Swanzy on March 30, 1956 in Bethesda, Maryland. She served 4 years in the United States Navy when it was uncommon for women to serve. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and later graduated from Texas Womens University where she earned a Bachelors of Education. Patricia served the community as a middle school math teacher. She was a member of St. Philip Presbyterian Church in Hurst, Texas. She loved spending time with her family and friends, reading, crossword puzzles and a round of golf in her more mobile years. In lieu of flowers on behalf of the Swanzy family, please make donations to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. Patricia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Forrest Wayne Swanzy and her parents Raymond and Josephine Branchflower. She is survived by her brother, Gilbert and his wife Wilma Branchflower; daughters, Denise Lane and her husband Victor Barlag, Dawn Patrice and her husband Bob Martin; sons, Dennis Wayne and his wife Lita Swanzy, Dean Allen and his wife Lisa Swanzy; grandchildren, Stephen and Harley Barlag, Angela and William Franz, Shea and Scott Parker, Jessica and AJ Marcaccio, Bailey and Will Carmack, Nattasha and Eric Deaton, Gaelan Kefauver, Stephanie and Mike Pucciarello, Dallas and Becky Chase, Joshua and Ashley Martin, Jesse and Sara Swanzy, Sarah and Jordan Dillard, Leah and Matt Scarlotta; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Johhny and Andy Barlag, Emily, Colin and Ian McCormick, Cameron and Macy Parker, Luca and Enza Marcaccio, Nell and Liam Carmack, Delilah Deaton, Mackenzie and Grace Martin, Riann Cook and Brynlee Chase, Ezra and Louisa Swanzy, Randall Dillard, Sean, Taylor, Jordan and Jack Pucciarello, Sandra and James Hartline with children Avery and Evan, Melanie and Travis Kindred, David Franz, Katherine Franz; nephews, Linn and his wife Judy Swanzy and Raymond Branchflower; nieces, Brenda Cully, Cynthia Alden and husband Bruce, Cheryl Mirsaidi and husband Parviz, Laura Pearson, Jennifer Branchflower; additional family, Kirt and Amanda Swanzy, Amanda and Travis Cheek along with numerous other loving family and friends. | |||
