She was surrounded by friends and family, and left us peacefully to be with her heavenly father. Maureen was born Dec. 16, 1952 to Roland and Marjorie Rooney. She led a life full of fun and adventure, and possessed a vivacious spirit. After graduating from court reporting school in 1980 she moved to Hawaii for eight years to work in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. She later returned to Minnesota and served a term as the president of the Minnesota Court Reporters Association. She loved to travel, and went to such far flung locations as Australia and Paraguay for fun, and to volunteer her time to help others. Maureen is survived by her son Eddie; mother Marjorie; brothers Pat, Tim, and Mike; and numerous friends. Her life was an inspiration, and she was a blessing to everyone who knew her. Her memory will always be cherished. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. at the North Branch Main Street Church. There will be a visitation before the service at 10 a.m. |
