Donald and Hazel were married in St Francis church.


Son of Edward Theodor and Ruth Margaret (Schutt) Clark. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Kerkhoven Lutheran Church. He grew up in rural Kerkhoven and went to Buffalo Lake Country School through eighth grade and graduated from Kerkhoven High School in 1946 where he had participated in football, basketball, and baseball. As a young man he was a member of the Swift Falls Baseball team and was a catcher for multiple small town baseball leagues. On February 27, 1954, he was married to Hazel Laura Rooney in Belgrade, MN by Fr. Lenarz. He was a dairy farmer in Swift and Pope Counties. In his early days, he worked for Northern States Power Company in Hugo, MN. He then transitioned to dairy and grain farming in Buffalo Lake, MN. In 1957, he and Hazel purchased their family farm in Kerkhoven Township and lived there until retirement. They farmed with two of their sons, Kim and Kyle, until his passing. He was a delegate director with AMPI, Associated Milk Producer's Inc., and a member of Minnesota Wool Growers Association. He was awarded Swift County Soil Conservation District Outstanding Farmer in 1958 and 2001. He was an adult Hayes Willing Workers 4H Leader for multiple years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dorothy Pederson. Surviving are his wife of 66 year, Hazel Clark of Willmar; children, Kevin Clark of Ben Wheeler, TX, Keith (Bit) Clark of Overland Park, KS, Kim Clark of Murdock, Kaye (Thomas) Dooley of Spicer, Kyle (Jackie) Clark of Murdock, Kris (friend, Trena) Clark of Glenwood, and Kirsten (Kyle) Kopacek of Lake Park; twelve grandchildren, Dr. Anne (Bracey) Lerner, Justin (Kirstin) Anderson, Joshua (Kristi) Dooley, Brittany Dooley, Chelsa (Jon) Lien, Ali (Andrew) Bouta, Aaron Clark, Benjamin Clark, Karter Kopacek, Kaitlyn Kopacek, Kaden Kopacek, and Karson Kopacek; and five great-grandchildren, Thomas White, Marcus Lien, Mason Lien, Maddox Lien, and Sophia Bouta.

Youngest child of Bert and Louise (Sandvig) Rooney. She was confirmed in the Catholic faith at St. Donatus Church in Brooten, MN. She was a member of the Brooten School drum and bugle corps until her graduation in 1950. She worked as a telephone operator for Thornburg Telephone Co., and for three years at Haywood Pharmacy of Belgrade. She married Donald Wesley Clark in 1954. Living south of Degraff, MN, they built a successful operation in dairy and grain farming. They moved to the family farm in Kerkhoven Township in 1957, and lived there until 2017. They were awarded the Swift Co. Soil Conservation District Outstanding Farmer Award in 1958 and 2001. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Council of Catholic Women, and an adult leader for Hayes Willing Workers 4-H. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Kevin "Casey" Clark; and siblings. Surviving are her children, Keith (Bit) Clark of Olathe, KS, Kim Clark of Murdock, MN Kaye (Thomas) Dooley of Spicer, MN, Kyle (Jackie) Clark of Murdock,MN, Kris Clark of Glenwood, MN, and Kirsten (Kyle) Kopacek of Lake Park, MN; 12 grandchildren, Dr. Anne (Bracey) Lerner, Justin (Kirstin) Anderson, Joshua (Kristi) Dooley, Brittany Dooley, Chelsa (Jon) Lien, Ali (Andrew) Bouta, Aaron Clark, Benjamin Clark, Karter Kopacek, Kaitlyn (Jon) Kopacek, Kaden Kopacek, and Karson Kopacek; and eight great-grandchildren, Tommy White, Marcus, Mason, Maddox and Mara Lien, Sophia, Conrad, and Clayton Bouta.

Son of Donald Wesley and Hazel Laura (Rooney) Clark. He was confirmed in the Catholic Faith at Sacred Heart Church, in Murdock, MN. He grew up on the rural family farm in Kerkhoven Township. He graduated in 1972 from Kerkhoven High School. While active in the local 4-H club and FFA chapter, he was involved in livestock judging. His specialties were horse and cattle judging. He earned an Associates Degree in Science at Willmar Community College, and graduated in 1977 from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. While attending the University of Minnesota, he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Animal Science Club, and Livestock Judging Focus Group. After graduation, he worked for the Upjohn Pharmaceuticals-Veterinarian Division near Iowa City, IA. In the mid-1980's, he worked in the agricultural realty industry before starting his own environmental land applications business. Later on, he started an independent farming operation which included cattle and horses in Northeast Iowa. While operating Clark Farms, he founded Clark Angus Genetics and CNN Quarter Horses. In 2013, he purchased a ranch in rural Ben Wheeler, TX and named it White Pines Farms. Casey was a lifetime member of the American Angus Association and American Quarter Horse Association. He attended many stock shows in Denver, CO. He participated in multiple cattle disbursement sales throughout the south and midwest, and explored land and cattle opportunities in Costa Rica. He was a member of the St Edward Catholic Church in Athens, TX, serving as a Saturday evening mass usher. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wesley Clark. He is survived by his mother Hazel Clark of Willmar, MN; siblings, Keith (Bit) Clark of Olathe, KS, Kim Clark of Murdock, Kaye (Thomas) Dooley of Spicer, Kyle (Jackie) Clark of Murdock, Kris Clark of Glenwood, and Kirsten (Kyle) Kopacek of Lake Park.
