Anna Lynnette Maddox Born 20 Oct 1948, died 30 Jun 2020, age 71 years, buried Macon, Bibb County, Georgia Anna Lynnette Rooney (Maddox) Wednesday, October 20th, 1948 - Tuesday, June 30th, 2020 Anna Lynette Maddox Rooney, 71, of Macon, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Anna Lynette Rooney will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, Aunt Lynn(Anna), and the title she took the most pride in: Maw Maw. She found joy in the smiles and happiness of her family but especially her grandchildren. Whether it was making a joke, a funny face, or telling a story you've heard for the 10th time(that'd shed say she'd likely tell you again) she truly found her happiness in the eyes and smiles of those she held dear. Her legacy will be carried on in those memories of smiles, laughs, and a house always welcoming and full of good food, big hugs, and true love. Mrs. Rooney was preceded in death by her husband, Lester V. Rooney; mother, Florence Jones; and father, Buck Maddox. Mrs. Rooney is survived by her sons, Vince Rooney, Keith Rooney, and Rick Rooney; grandchildren, Trey Rooney, Ashley Rooney, Kayne Rooney, Paxton Rooney, and Merrick Rooney; brothers, Terry Maddox and Jim Jones; and numerous other extended family members. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 2, at 11:00 AM in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services has charge of arrangements. He was a sergeant with the Macon Police Department, a deputy with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office and was a United States Navy veteran having been an E3-Seaman.
