He was a World War II veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 511 and a member of Nocturnal Adoration Society. Survived by his wife, Sophie Raden; a daughter, Mrs. Steven A. Vetter of Norfolk; a son, Richard Raden of Zephyrhills, Fla.; two sisters, Irene Machren of Avon and Lucille Sheik of Waite Park, Minn.; six stepchildren; and four grandchildren.
