Mitch will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by wife Donna of Ar mstrong; daughter Tracey (Del) Griffin of Armstrong; son Michael (Deed ee) de Moissac of Abbotsford; grandchildren Tawney (Bobby) Dirksen, Da rcey (Kenn) Buxton and daughter Adora, Dustin Griffin and Cole Griffin ; siblings Madeline Normandeau of Winnipeg, Gene de Moissac of Edmonto n and Tony de Moissac of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Pre-decease d by son Mark. Mitch served in the Air Force during WWII. He had a long career as a r ealtor and manager of Hugh & McKinnon at White Rock (where he was know n as the Great White Pelican) and became his own housing contractor an d developer. Retiring to the Armstrong/Vernon area over thirty years ago he pursue d his passion for fishing. Mitch also enjoyed woodworking, gardening a nd travel in his RV. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 14, 200 7. Father Leo Boyd, O.M.I. celebrant. Inurnment to follow at Armstron g Spallumcheen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mi tch may be made to Vernon Jubilee Hospital, Light A Bulb Campaign, 210 1-32 Street, Vernon, BC V1T 9Z9.
