He was born June 29, 1933 to Leslie and Elma Richards in Lewistown, Montana. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Boeing as a machinist from 1977 to 1996. He was a member of St. Luke Parish in Shoreline where he belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Francis is survived by his children, Charles (Robyn) Richards, Paul (Diane) Richards and Davina Kabicek; his sister, Aggie (Ted) Mikula; three grandchildren, Shakita Kabicek, Nicholas Myrick and Mitchell Myrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Richards in May 2010. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville. Inurnment at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Guide Dogs of America, 13445 Glenoaks Blvd, Sylmar, CA 91342.
