Wirtzfeld, Sr. ("the real Batman") age 50 of Cedar Bluff, AL passed away Thursday – August 26, 2021 at a Rome, GA hospital. Mr. Wirtzfeld was born November 4, 1970 in Libby, Montana to the late Gordon S. and JoAnne Eisenmann Wirtzfeld. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, and gardening. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Michele Diane Wirtzfeld; and son, Jeffery M. Teems. Survivors include his son, Thomas G. (Katelyn)Wirtzfeld, Jr.; soul mate, Tara Ethridge; siblings, Joseph (Janet Lee) Wirtzfeld, David Wirtzfeld, Jeffrey Wirtzfeld, and Lynda Wirtzfeld; grandchildren, Myles Wirtzfeld, and Avani Wirtzfeld; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Wirtzfeld will be held at 11:00 am Monday – August 30, 2021 at the chapel of Mason Funeral home with Min. Gary Teems officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery with Thomas Wirtzfeld, Jr., Wayne Wilson, Shane Cagle, Jonathon Shinn, Avery Kinard, and Pernell Blackwell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:00 am until the service time.
