Nancy Rae JENSEN Nancy passed away peaceably on January 27, after a long illness. Nancy was born in Kirkland, WA August 31, 1939 the first child of Verda and Wally Warner. She grew up in bucolic Kirkland surrounded by the extended Warner family. As a child Nancy enjoyed sewing, bicycling, drives in the country with her Uncle Art and Grandma and was an active member in the Girl Scouts. In high school Nancy was a member of the Loyalty and Girls Clubs at Lake Washington High School. She represented her community as a Strawberry Princess in the Seafair festivities including attending the Seafair Ball. Nancy graduated from L ake Washington High School in 1957. After graduation Nancy married Ira Jensen and together they would have three children Steven, Kimberly and Robert. Nancy enjoyed reading, traveling, and gaming and was an active member of the Children's Orthopedic Guild for many years. Nancy's career started with People's Bank where she worked as a teller at the Kirkland Branch. She would advance in her career working in operations and loan processing finally retiring after thirty-five years of service from US Bank. After retirement Nancy and Ira would leave Kirkland to retire to Port Townsend, WA, a town that reminded them of the Kirkland of their youth. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Verda and Wally Warner. She is survived by her husband Ira, children Steven, Kimberly and Robert Jensen, sister Kathy Caskey, brother Bruce Warner, Aunt Norma Warner, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services are private. Remembrances can be made to the humane society.
