Kukowski, Hubert George Age 83, of West Allis, WI passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Hales Corners Care Center, Hales Corners, WI. Born June 18, 1931 in LaCrosse, WI, son of Verna Jeanette Harrison and Hubert Vincent Kukowski. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Evelyn Rooney. Sons; Kevin George, Steven John (Laura Coopland), Thomas Vincent (Diana Frydrych). Daughter: Diane Marie (Kostas Lazarides). Grandchildren; Andrew Steven and Christina Marie Kukowski, Eric Thom as (Ashley Dobbe) and Kimberly Ann Kukowski. Nicholas Alexander and Kyle Vincent Lazarides. Great-Granddaughter; Emma Marie Kukowski. Hubert George married his Pius XI High School sweetheart, Evie Rooney, on May 16, 1953 at St Ann's Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from St. Mary's College in Winona, MN in 1953. He earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI in 1959. He served in the U. S. Army from July 1954 to June 1956. He retired in 1988 as manager of Brand Forecasting and Analysis from Miller Brewing Co. in Milwaukee, WI after 32 years of service. He felt privileged to retire at age 57 as he had many healthy years to enjoy his grandchildren, his love of the north woods of Wisconsin, and especially traveling overseas to pursue his passion of researching family history. He was very proud to have written and published eight books on genealogy, despite living with ALS for the past six years. He loved the view at "Two Hoots", his cottage located in Winchester, Vilas County, WI. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He dearly loved his great-grandchild, "Baby Emma." Her smile brought him so much joy in his final days. Private interment will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Hubert George will be laid to rest next to his Mother at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, WI. Preceded in death by his infant daughter, Carrie Anne. The family wishes to thank the Allay Hospice and the staff at Hales Corners Care Center. The family is also grateful to the ALS Clinic and the staff at the VA Me dical Center (6 South) in Milwaukee, WI for their kindness and compassion during the past four months.
