Cold Spring - April 1, 1936 - April 29, 2021

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Arnold A. Steinhoff age 85, who died Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery. Those attending the services must maintain social distancing and wear a mask. The service will be live-streamed on the church's website at www.christcatholic.com.

A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Wednesday morning at the St. Boniface Church Narthex.

Arnie was born in Sauk Centre, MN to John and Agnes (Rooney) Steinhoff. He married Jeanette Irsfeld on May 28, 1957.

Arnie worked for Cold Spring Granite Company for 44 years. He enjoyed cutting wood, spending time at the lake, fishing, campfires, cooking, grilling, and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

He is survived by his children, LeRoy (Sue), Deb (Scott) Porwoll, Kenneth (Tracy), David; siblings, Donny, Dick, Vince, Theresa, Dolores; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette (October 9, 2020); sisters, Florence, Pauline and Rita.

Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Rita Caspers, age 70 of St. Wendel, will be at 11 :00 AM Monday at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in St. Wendel. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Sunday and again after 10:00 Monday at the church in St. Wendel. St. Columbkille Parish Prayers will pray at 7:00 PM followed by St. Columbkille Christian Mothers at 7:30 PM Sunday at the church. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.

Rita was born May 4, 1 938 in Sauk Center to John and Agnes (Rooney) Steinhoff. She married Robert Caspers on May 13, 1961 in Sauk Center. The couple lived in St. Cloud for a short time and then moved to St. Wendel. Robert died in 1989. Rita worked as the head baker at the St. Benedict"s Convent for over 15 years, retiring in 2000. Rita also did cake decorating out of her home. She was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church and the St. Columbkille Christian Mothers.

Rita is survived by her children, Duane (Ann) Caspers, Apple Valley: Marvin (Betty) Caspers, St. Joseph; Peter Caspers, Brainerd; Kevin (Jill) Caspers, Bloomington; Patricia Caspers, Sartell and Michelle Caspers, Bloomington. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Arnold (Jeanette) Steinhoff, Rockville; Dick (Sonny) Steinhoff, Shelby, MT; Don Steinhoff, Helena, MT; Vince Steinhoff, Kingston, AZ; Pauline (Roger) Haskamp, St. Cloud; Dolores (Jerry) Myers, Conrad, MT and Theresa Fiedler, Helena, MT; and 8 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert and her sister, Florence Keim.

Pauline Ida Haskamp, age 66, St. Cloud, MN, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.

Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
Pauline was born April 23, 1946 in Glenwood, MN to John and Agnes (Rooney) Steinhoff. She married Roger R. Haskamp on June 14, 1964 at Our Lady of Angels, Sauk Centre, MN. Pauline was employed at St. Benedict's Senior Community, St. Cloud, MN for 18 years retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN.

Survivors include her husband, Roger R. Haskamp of St. Cloud, MN; son, Jeff Haskamp of St. Cloud, MN; daughter, Jana (Jim) Haskamp of Alexandria, MN; brothers and sisters, Arnold (Jeanette) Steinhoff of Rockville, MN; Vince Steinhoff of Golden Valley, AZ; Richard Steinhoff of Shelby, MT; Donald Steinhoff of Shawmut, MT; Delores (Jerry) Myers of Conrad, MT; Theresa Fiedler of Helena, MT; six grandchildren and one great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tina Marie Haskamp, grandson, Douglas Haskamp-Hagen, and two sisters, Florence Keim and Rita Caspers.

Pallbearers will be Matthew, Colton, James, Logan, and Mason Haskamp, and Shane DeFoe.

Richard "Dick" Steinhoff, 73, of Helena, passed away on Aug. 4, 2022, at Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.

Per Dad's request there will be no services but a celebration of life will be held later this fall.

Dick was born June 19, 1949, in Brooten, Minn. to John Steinhoff and Agnes Rooney. He grew up on the family farm in Sauk Center, Minn. with his eight siblings and moved to Conrad, Mont. his senior year and graduated from Conrad High School. After graduating he was drafted into the Army and stationed at Fort Riley, Kan. before he was discharged.

In July 1974 he married Sunny Freeman and made their home in Valier where Dick worked for Pondera County Canal & Reservoir Company. In 1980 Dick and Sunny opened Howard's Pizza in Shelby which they operated until 1996. The restaurant was a family affair where the entire family had the privilege of learning the value of hard work. After selling the restaurant Dick worked construction for a few years until a stroke in 2001 and continued to live in Shelby.

In March 2022 he moved to The Legacy Assisted Living in Helena. Dick loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. In his later years he enjoyed baking and making his famous "snacking stix," salami and Tom & Jerry batter.

Dick is survived by his former wife Sunny Steinhoff; his three children Angel (Dan) Pipinich of Redmond, Wash., John (Laura) Steinhoff of Helena, and Glen Steinhoff (Kerry Hanson) of Bozeman; grandkids Jacqueline, Christopher, Katrina and Laila; siblings Vince Steinhoff, Delores Meyers and Theresa Fiddler.

The family would suggest memorials be made to the Montana Veteran's Memorial Flag and Park in Shelby or a veteran's organization of your choice.
